A student from Poland tells us a joke about our Spanish of Buenos Aires.
Jokes are difficult to understand when you learn a foreign language. But even more difficult is to tell jokes, especially if the jokes are about language.
Tomasz spent nine months in Argentina. He came to my one-on-one Spanish classes as soon as he arrived in Buenos Aires, and he took Spanish lessons every morning for four months.
Then he decided to go and explore the rest of the country. He spent a couple of months in the north, until he bought a motorbyke, and he traveled from Jujuy to Usuhaia. When he came back, we met to say him goodbye at a Polish restaurant in Palermo, where he told us this joke.
